Head lice prevention? Avoiding teatree. ?

I’m afraid of headlice, they have really become a phobia to me, reason being because I have long and VERY thick hair and when I caught headlice once, it was a nightmare to get rid of, (I’m talking a year struggle because there would always be SOMETHING left)

So I always do my hair with a comb and conditioner, about once a month. But as my hairs getting longer I’m getting sick of it. I dont want to cut my hair, I don’t think that it needs to come to that. I’m just wondering if there’s something I can use, once a week or everyday that will stop my worries.

I’ve heard of teatree oil and i tried it but my hair was so oily, and I smelt strongly of teatree for days (I only did a few spritz!).

Does anyone know of anything else that can help? Really, If i caught lice again (and at my age, 17, it’s so uncommon) it would jsut be too much for me.

hav a ton of split ends

but dont wanna cut me hair cause its layered so much tat me hair is really short at the top

im tryin 2 grow it out

+ i straighten everyday
+ wash me hair everyday
+ dont uSe conditioner CAUSE IT MAKES ME HAIR OILY

What are the WORST beauty products you have used?

We all don’t want to waste our money on bad beauty products so just wondering if you could list the worst that you’ve tried.

Here’s my list:

1) Ella Bache Great Facesaver sunscreen – peels off and looks like you have eczema when you use it

2) Dove shampoo and conditioner – made my hair feel like it had been washed in acid as it stripped the oils away from it

3) Sorbelene cream – dont care what anyone says this is not a good face moisturiser – its way too heavy

4) Maybelline Dream Mousse Eyeshadow – the eyeshadow dries out a week after you open it and you have this dry crumbly stuff that doesnt go on smooth

5) Simple eye makeup remover – doesnt remove eye-makeup!

What are the worst you have used and why? List as many as you want
Dove products are useless – it should be called the ‘Dove real ugly’ campaign not ‘dove real beauty’

Greasy hair help? PLEASE HELP ME. ?

My hair gets greasy about 10 hours after washing. Im going to a friends house to stay the night and the next day i might have to stay their until the afternoon. My hair will be oilly than anything i dont want to ask for a shower though bcause i no there water isnt working 2mrw. Is there a special way i can wash it today? Ill probably wash it at about 11:00 THANKS IN ADVANCE. No i dont have any time to buy new shmpoos i have the pantene seven wishes in one shampoo and conditioner. and i dont want to make my hair dry either. please help
If i was going to put shampoo and conditioner should i put no conditioner at all or conditioner just at the ends of my hair?

how long did it take foryour hair to be healthy enough to bleach it again?

i bleached my hair one week ago, sure its dry, but its not dead, it still curls naturally without frizzing much. im using loreal everstrong sulfate-free fortify system to reconstruct hair [conditioner, and overnight repair treatment] if i use this for another week- do you think it would be safe to bleach it again with garnier nurtrisse 100 extra-light natural blonde. it contains hydrogen peroxide. . . . and ammonium hydroxide. . . but it doesnt list sulfate, so does that mean its sulfate free?

so I was going to meet this girl I like and wanted to look perfect but after showering I spend 2 hours infront of the mirror just combing my hair. Now it’s still as thick but buncha and by that I mean buncha hair fell. I am quite panicky cause my hair doesn’t stay as puffy even though I washed it with a conditioner and a new shampoo just then it still is not as puffy as it used to be and I had a headeache ever since the 2 hours of combing and my scalp kinda hurts when I touch it now. This is by no means gonna do unrepairable damage to my hair right? I asked my family , friends they said no but I just wanted to see the answer from someone who knows this stuff. I mean all those hair will grow back right ? Also will it go puffy again. Does special olive oil thingy whatever help it get it’s health back? please answer

What is your best hair tip/s?

I had staright hair. I cut it and it became curly. So I permanently straightened it last year. It has grown much more thicker now and longer and is sort of straight.

my hair tip for my type of hair is to:
use a comb while showering and comb the shampoo and conditioner through. it makes the hair really soft, less tangly and helps make the dead ends look better.

after the shower, when my hair is still damp, i spray my hair with the hair volumizing spray.

Sometimes, I would blow dry my hair after the first two steps which makes in nice and straight. & even sometimes i just straighten it.

So what type of hair do you have and what do you do to try to make it look good?

You know when you go to the beach and after swimming you get that messy, wavy hair. You know what I mean, is there any way or product that can get my hair like that. . preferably something I don’t need to make a special trip to the hairdressers to buy a hair product. .
Also, what is the BEST way to gradually lighten my hair. I’ve ruled out lemon juice, too many hazards. Is there some kind of gradual bleach shampoo/conditioner. I don’t wont to go ahead and dye my hair, cuz I know it’d look yuck, cuz i’d get it too light, that’s why I wanted to opt for something really gradual, so I can stop when it goes as light as I wont. My hair is naturally a very dark dirty blonde. In fact I’d call it brown.

natural hair colour. ?

i once had beutiful natural blonde hair with natural streaks but i decided to dye it when i was about 11! then i kept dying it to dark colours (the colour i first dyed it was brown)

i tried dying it blonde but it went yellow! my hair always looks and feels discusting! my eyebrows are kind of a dark blonde colour, the roots of my hair is that colour. could my hair go that colour when the dye grows out?

im 15 now and i was thinking of stripping all the colour out, then just putting lots of conditioner and hair repair in it because i heard it makes your hair go all straw like. does that really happen?

is their a product i can use to strip the hair dye out but not make my hair go all strawy?

I have porous hair and I need an excelent hydratating product that I can buy online!(I live in Portugal)?

I have shoulder lenght hair at the moment. My hair is dark brown, wavy and more or less thin ( in between) Not a bad hair. I have done several things, but a few months ago I have it cut and get rid of all chemicals and relaxed hairs. Now, it’s totally virgin. And I want to keep it that way. However my hair is very dry – i use serum and leave in conditioner but on the outer layer of my head my hair is very porous!Why is that? I had it cut a few days ago ( just a few cm, but it is still porous). My inside layers are perfect though.
I need to feed my hair with something very strong, good and healthy that i can buy here (portugal) or on an online store. Are silicone products good to use on a daily basis?

Help!!
