I’m stuck for make-up for my formal. I have to do it myself and I’m quite hopeless. The dress I’m wearing is short and a pale purple (kind of silver) colour. It’s described as mushroom – sort of smoky. My heels are pink with black lace over the top, so they’re fairly dark. I have green eyes (big) and brown hair. My jewellery is silver, no necklace though. Help would be much appreciated.

I’ve got really long eyelashes so when i apply mascara they look really scary and weird. Its hard to evenly coat them and to spread them out properly. When i try they just get longer and even more scary looking. i don’t want my lashes any longer than they are when i have no mascara on. i only want to apply mascara to make them look thicker and darker, but it never works. How do i do that? and what mascara do you recommend? are wet or dry mascaras better for long lashes?

Yes. Gothic. I want a dark smell fragrance that’s not too strong. And also have a Victorian era feel.
Why are dark brown eyes not seen as beautifull but green and blue and hazel are?

Why is there so much discrimination towards dark eyes in society and the beauty industry in general. Most people will buy green or blue eye contacts to change their brown eyes because society considers green/blue to be superior. Why is this?

heyy. i’m 16 and me and my boyfriend both go to different schools. he wants me to go to his schools football game tomorrow night to meet his friends and stuff. i’m not sure how to wear my hair. i want it to be casual but unique. =) also, make-up? i have green eyes and blonde hair. should i go natural or edgy? and what should i wear? it’s been getting a little chilly here plus i need to go tanning so i’m not as dark as i would like to be. so i’ll probably just wear jeans. umm. . . shirt ideas? again i want to be casual but unique. please help!

Schminke Pastels are 92% pigment and 8% binder (glue)
They are incredible soft and are sometimes crushed and used to make paint.
I want to do some Special Effects Make up.
And am wondering if using the schminke pastels will be fine.
I put down a layer of hair spray.
Crushed the pastel and mixed it with a bit of water and painted it over my hand.
Will that be fine or should I be worried about the binder?
I haven’t used any colours that contain a metal eg. Cadmium.

I am going to my cousins 21st and want to know what to where for makeup But i DONT WHERE eyeliner,blush (but I do where cheek stain) and I prefer not to where eye shadow. Simply becuase I dont want to.
MAC or Napoleon Perdis professional make-up kit?

hello all, i have just started a make-up course and am hoping to start freelancing as a professional make-up artist once i have finished the course. At the moment i am browsing for a starter make-up kit (that i can build on) and am choosing between MAC, Napoleon and Jane Iredel. Although i think i prefer MAC or Napoleon as they have funkier eye shadow colours. They all differ in price, MAC being the most expensive for a smaller kit. Which one would you start with? Which one has a better product range in your experience? Thanks in advance x (oh its fun building a kit) x
