As a tourist, how dressed up must I be for a Broadway show?

I don’t want to go in jeans, but can’t exactly fit flashy dresses and delicate heels into my suitcase! What is acceptable dress at a Broadway show?

    yeah sweety, people don’t dress like they use to to go to shows, i work a few blocks from times square and you see them walk in anyold way.

    little black dress, little black heals. and a nice coat and some good hair should do it.

    How about a cool dress over some jeans and delicate heels or cool sneakers.

    Hey just be yourself, it does not really matter what you wear, I went with my friend and his sister , she was just so casual with jeans and a shirt with a sweater on.
    Enjoy your show.
