What color dye should I use for brown hair?

My daughter has brown hair and very long bangs, she keeps swept to the side. she wants her hair colored but only the tips and bangs. I have been looking online for examples but have not found any. We like the black with blue bangs but I really did not want to do her hair black. Any suggestions?

Well, you are right about being hesitant about her dying her hair black! I dyed my hair black three times a couple years ago, and every stylist I have seen has told me you cannot lift color with color, and I am eventually going to have to cut it out. So unless she wants to make a very long commitment to black, she should not do it! That said, if she wants a new look, she could try a deep, chocolate brown, depending on how dark her natural color is. Dark brown looks wonderful on practically any brunette and is easy to maintain (i. e. if her hair is dark enough, her roots would be somewhat inconspicuous). The blue bangs/tips would be cool, but keep in mind that to achieve a vivid and pretty color for “radical” colors such as blue, green, purple, etc she is going to have to bleach that area. Those colors are not permanent. . . They are barely semi-permanent and she will have to reapply the dye frequently to keep the color looking nice :) .

  3. gold will be good for children

  4. What she wants is very unique; youll find that she may become isolated from her friends (everyone in school wore white socks, and one day i came to school in black socks and the sh*t i got for it was savage) or more so those girls who find the “different” females a threat.
Maybe suggest a less dramatic look ? eg. . Unique tips, foils differing in thickness
Im not sure, its entirely her decision, but if in the end she doesnt like it she will never be able to get her original colour back, and her ends will look tired.
