Hair Straightner Heat Protecter?

I just got a hair straightner (bedhead) and it didn’t say anywhere that I had to put on a heat protecter. . . in fact, it kinda discouraged it. . . saying that you really didn’t need anything else to protect your hair. . . whatever. . . I just want to know, do you put the protecter on your hair? also, What kinds of hair protecters are good? Is there shampoo and conditioner if you don’t want to apply the heat protecter?
My hair looks like a puffball. . . . I’m really scared that it’ll fall out

Use one anyways. You need to protect your hair no matter what it says.

it wont rele fall out, i doubt it, but i have a conair hair straightner, and i get better results wen i put a moisteriser in that is for blowdrying. . . becuase i blow dry my hair b4 i use the straightner, if i dont put in moisturizer, then during hte day, my hair gets all tangled, also it gets frizzy sometimes. . . prolly becuase its a little dry. but i think its best to use a moisturizer, that gives me the best results.
    good luck

  5. tresemme heat protector

    works like a charm
    and smells good too :)
you should use one because without it,
youll get alot more split ends

i straighten my hair every day and its fine

  6. i agree, garnier sleek and shine leave in conditioner works very good with any type of hair and it reduces frizz and it doesn’t leave that sticky mess on your hair like a lot of other products

  7. i use deep-conditioning conditioners (matrix and bedhead) so i dont fry my hair. i also use CHI +44 iron guard spray before i flat iron. they all smell awesome! the bedhead comes in a organge bottle and the logo is shiny and it smells like pineapple – hahaa i can’t remember the name!

you can get these all at target, sista. (:

there are a lot you could use; i use tresseme heat protecting spray, it works really well and it doesn’t weigh your hair down or anything. and it isn’t expensive, you can find it in any drug store or target/ulta, etc. .

there arent really any shampoos or conditioners that work as heat protecting, but you could always get a hair ‘repairing’ shampoo that will help protect your hair from getting really damaged after a lot of heat styling. :]

  9. Get Herbal Essence shampoo and conditioner ( Pin straight)
ITs pink. I love it and it protects my hair.

  10. yeah, i straighten my hair pretty much everyday and it gets incredibly damaging. i would use matrix sleek and shine shampoo and conditioner, it’s a bit pricey but definitely worth it.

if you’d prefer a more reasonably priced line, just use the pantene renewal line, specifically the hair mask, it really makes your hair smoother and repairs all the damage, i’ve been using it for about two weeks, and i’ve definitely seen changes.

for actual styling products, buy a serum, like from frizz ease, they make one that keeps your hair from damaging. chi also makes good heat protectors, so check them out! good luck!

I use John Frieda’s Frizz Ease thermal protection formula. . . i have damaged hair and this makes my hair so soft!! I use it everytime before i straighten my hair. . .

    lol you’re ok.

I use biosilk AFTER straightening my hair instead of applying a heat protector beforehand, but I used to use a heat protector from Ion. Either way my hair looked MUCH better than if I had used neither.

Yes you can use a heat protection shampoo and conditioner, but I would definitely recommend using either biosilk or a hair protector as well, maybe even both if it doesn’t make your hair overly oily.
    :)

Try not to use too much heat

  14. You need a thermal protector spray or your hair will sizzle. I find that matrix has the best one.
