I bleached my hair blonde about 3 months ago. I was just wondering when it’d be safe to dye it again. Also, my hairdresser said not to dye my bleached hair brown because it’d make my hair green and that I’d be better off dying it red. Is that true? Any suggestions would be great.

no color goes better when you have blonde hair because its like white like on paper if you wanted brown you would use blonde(white) instead of like red get it?

3 months ago is a long time! I dyed mine right after I bleached it.
Dye it whatever you want. Just don’t dye it an ash brown–that’s the only thing that would turn it green.
It’s true, if you dye it black it will turn green in a week or so. . . what you wanna do is dye it with a dark blonde like dirty blonde or some kind of color closer to brown, just increase the color but don’t do a dramatic change.
maybe dye it a light brown then dye it darker. it’s safe anytime to dye your hair, it doesn’t matter when you first dyed it
Yr question is easy – the answer you got is a little weird.
I see no reason not to dye yr hair. It will be lighter than the colour you choose, so if you want to go brown, go very dark brown. Bleached hair will take dye very well as it has currently no colour. Only chlorine in pools makes blonde hair go green due to a chemical reaction.
Go to another hairdresser, I assure you it can be dyed.

well if ur hair isnt FRIED u could dye it again now or wait another month or so. but if u were to dye it brown, it will turn green or blue. my friend done that. u might need to go for a caramel color at first. but if ur not sure, go to a professional to make sure.
haha! it’s so funny that i caught this question! i just bleached my hair from a dark blonde to a bleach blonde about two, three weeks ago
and today i dyed it dark brown
it worked out perfectly, and i love it

they say to wait a really long time before you dye your hair after bleaching it, but if you don’t have really sensitive hair, and you take good care of it, you’ll be fine

Its totally fine after 3 months to colour your hair again, the minimum time is 2 weeks so your all good to change it again =]
If your impatient like me, then yes, you can dye it straight back to brown, there is a slight chance you could have a green tinge, however, after 7 years colouring my hair ive only ever had it happen to me once. Ive learnt to buy browns with auburn (redish/brown) tinges in them because this counteracts the green so if your impatient then yeah go for it just try and choose a colour with an auburn tinge if your worried about the green.
And your hairdresser is correct in the fact that colouring your hair red first would be a better option, just buy a redish dye and put that through your hair first, then do the brown. This way your gaurenteed that there will be no green tinge but its totaaly up to you, like i said before, im impatient aswell and mines only got a slight tinge once.

Your hairdresser is right. Dying your hair straight from blonde to brown will make your hair turn a greeny colour. If you want to go to brown you will have to dye your hair in steps. Gradually get darker with every dye you get. Dont go from a light colour straight to a dark colour
