How to start wearing thick eyeliner?

I want to do makeup like “scene” or “emo”s do, but I’m, lets just say a young teenager, I already look like a scene or emo kid, just without the eyeliner, so don’t tell me not to do it or whatever. so my question is: How would I slowly start wearing thick eyeliner without freaking my friends or family out?

Pages:
  1. wear a little at first and gradually add more.

personally, if i were going 4 the emo look, i would have a thick cats eye on the top lid and a thin line at the bottom. and black eye shadow

  2. Well, if you’ve never worn eyeliner before, start with a normal brown pencil liner. Spend about a week wearing it everyday. Just put a super thin natural line on your top lid. Then upgrade to a black pencil liner for a week and apply the same way. After that each day increase the size of the liner until your desired thickness. Then apply bottom liner. Spend about a week like apply your liner like this once you have reached your desired thickness. And then take the final step and use a gel black eyeliner.

Scene/emo or whatever went out in like 2009 but okay. Just start out with some thinner eyeliner. Like some on the top lashline maybe, and then eventually wear it underneath and in the waterline as well.

  4. Start out with just a thin black winged eyeliner look for a while and then gradually put more and more :-)

  5. I would start by wearing a light greyish black eye liner pencil, slowly building up to a felt tip type eye liner and eventually go for a liquid eye liner on your top lashes with a cat eye flick and a dark pencil/felt tip on the bottom lashes, i wouldnt recommend doing the waterline if it hurts x

Tell them that you saw a person with thick eyeliner and it looked really cool. Put small amounts of eyeliner on and then gradually put more on they will soon get used to it and think its normal for you to have thick eyeliner. Or get one of your friends to do “makeovers” and get them to apply it on you and say it looks really nice.

Just keep on going over the waterline of your bottom and top eyelid, it should gradually become thick.

  8. I would use black right off the bat. You will save money by doing this, and it’s where you are headed anyway so why buy 4 different colors of eyeliner when you really only want one? don’t put any on the bottom for the first couple of weeks, and work on your top lid first. start with a little and add some more every couple of days. you can experiment with different styles and thicknesses on the top first until you are fully satisfied with your look. then for the bottom, just line your water line for a few days and after gradually add more and more until you are happy with the results.

I suggest you do it thick on the outer corners and thinner toward the middle. It will give your eye a better look, instead of walking around looking like a raccoon(:
