What makeup should I be wearing to prom?

I have a gorgeous turquiose-blue dress that I am wearing. Ive got green eyes, and I wanted to play them up with a smoky eye. Should I stay with a basic black smoky eye or add other colors? BTW, I have fair skin, and auburn hair.
thanks so much!

  2. Definatley smoky eyes. They contrast with turquiose really well. And with your auburn hair, beautiful.

green is a fairly rare colour for eyes, and you should make them look big by also smudging in a little black eyeliner for that extra sizzle!

i would wear a pale pink gloss with this and keep the face fairly plain so the eyes look big and beautiful.

have a nice time at the prom!!

You know what might be reallly pretty. Play up the smoky eye. But when you get done with the black, throw in some turquoise just around like the corners of your eye. Obviously dont make the smokey too dark, but do a better yet, grey smoky eye. =]

If you have anymore questions, I am sure I can answer them. Trust me, I have been, and will be doing more makeovers for prom soon. Girls have been coming in to try out what colors they want.

maybe a navy blue. . . with black eyeliner and mascara. . . : ) and if you are also looking for blush and lipmakeup here are some good colors for you. . .

this blush in central park pink http://www. newyorkcolor. com/products/index. cfm?item=505

and this lip gloss in strawberry clear. . . http://www. newyorkcolor. com/products/index. cfm?item=492

its always good to have dark eyes with soft pink lips. . . : )

    hope this helps!!! ♥ ♥ ♥

The most important thing is to keep your make-up simple and timeless. You don’t want to look back at the photos in 30 years and regret your decision.

I think that basic black will look too heavy on your fair skin, so perhaps you should tone down the smokeyness and add mabye a medium brown colour, or darker green.

    I think this kind of thing will suite you. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

If you’re going for smokey eyes, try a brown or better yet a gray smokey eye look. Black will overpower your fair complexion and look unnatural. Gray will be more flattering and classy. Grey eye makeup will not compete with the bold hue of your dress, which sounds like it will look amazing with your hair!
