What products are similar to MAC makeup, only cheaper?

I don’t have enough money to get MAC makeup but is there anything else that is cheaper but quite good, i. e it doesn’t smudge or come off after a while.
i live in the UK

There is a reason why MAC makeup is so expensive- it is quality. You pay for what you get.

A slighter less expensive foundation is Revlon- Colorstay. It is about $35 and I find the coverage is nearly just as good as MAC.

Don’t go for Covergirl liquid foundation as it can hardly be called foundation- more like extremely watery tinted moisturizer.

Before I discovered Revlon Colorstay I used lots of Rimmel products, and there is this neat little one that I unfortunately forget the name of, which does not help at all. . I’m sorry. Oh! Yes I do, it was infallible. . Or maybe it wasn’t a RImmel product, a Max factor one? It was really good and pretty cheap- $20 something. And it really was infallible, worked great with the $13 maybelline concealer.

Now that is when it comes to foundation.

When it comes to blush, mascara, eyeliner etc. I just use Maybelline/ Covergirl products, as I find they work just as good as MAC ones and for half the price!

Experiment! Mix products around. I currently use:

    Naploeon Perdis Primer
Maybelline cover stick concealer/ MAC concealer mould stuff
    MAC Studio fix liquid foundation
    Covergirl Trueblend blush
    MAC loose powder
    Maybelline Colossal mascara
    Covergirl eyeliner

Or if you think that’s too risky (assuming you’re Australian) go to a Priceline store! They sell like every brand (except the expensive ones eg. MAC, Napoleon) and they are really helpful.

    Good luck! :)

i was looking for some makeup that stayed on instead of coming off when i go clubbing so i brought maxfactor one it was around 10 kwid and its excellent i stayed looking nice all night and morning x

  6. there is an australian cosmetics brand called napoleon perdis or napoleon for short, and their products are similar to MACs in both quality and their colors.
they arent as cheap as drugstore brands like maybelline, but they have the same range of colors and products that MAC has and the quality is also high.

i dont know if napoleon have international concept stores but im sure that theyll be available to most countries through the internet, and if you research a little you may be able to find a local store that sells them.

    okay weeell :) haha

first off mac’s mascaras are awful, so anything cheaper will most probably be better. i suggest maybellines lash stylist, i have used lancome for years and was so surprised by the quality of this cheap mascara.

for foundations, revlons colorstay is a duplicate for macs studio fix, alot of people say it, even i do. i use revlon cause its cheaper. revlon also had loads of dupes for mac stuff, ultimately go to revlon, they have a ton of lipsticks which i found after buying mac ones and i was so dissapointed as they were a hell of a lot cheaper.

    MAC is pretty good quality
but for foundation, revlon colourstay is the twin of studio fix fluid there others are also really good as well.
Gosh (Uk only?) is also a really good make similar to mac and coastal scents (Internet website) are really similar too.

  9. hi , i live in the uk and i have tried to find a brand like mac only cheaper to.

    I have tried :

    Revlon
    Barry m
    Gosh
    Bloom (superdrug)
    No7 (boots)
    Urban decay
    Too faced

Too faced and Urban decay are hard to find and also expensive.
Revlon was good, but not the best out of the ones i tried.
Bloom is very expensive, and not that good for the price.
No7, i bought the most from this brand then any of the others i tried, i liked it but not the best.
Barry m , i really liked this brand especially the dazzle dust, they could be compared to mac pigments. (not as good but large price difference!) you could get around 3 dazzle dust for the same price as 1 pigment !
My favourite brand out of the ones that i tired was. . GOSH (at superdrug)
I really like there product. I would defondefinitelymrecommende
    Liquid eylineyelinerl varnish
Loose eyeshadow (like dazzle dust) but in my opinion better
    blusher (lovleLovelyur – 34)
brushes – so soft , fluffy and apply the product really well.
and lastllastlye Touch Touchoncealer, great for under eye grayness covers it all up really well, also works on blemishes.

    Revolon **** (4 stars)
    Bloom *** (3 stars)
    No7 **** ( 4 stars)
    Barry m **** (4 stars)
    Urben decay **** (4 stars)
    Too faced **** (4 stars )
    Gosh ***** (5 stars)

My personal opinions on these 7 brands. But i feel none were really comparable to mac but these are good value for money.

    Hope i helped you :)
