I stretched my ear for the first time yesterday, they have been pierced for 5 years. I put the 2mm taper in slowly (over about an hour) and left it for half an hour halfway and now it’s stuck. It won’t budge either way. My ear isn’t painful, just a little bit sore as would be expected. I’ve tried vaseline and soaking it in hot water but it’s not helping, will it just unstick itself in a few days?

Okay, what I’d recommend is having a hot shower, and whilst in the shower, gently twist the taper, and gradually pull it out.
As it’s stuck, you’ll obviously need to use a downsize taper (1. 6mm) and leave that in for a little while, before going up to 2mm.
Also, don’t use vaseline to lubricate it. This ‘suffocates’ the skin and doesn’t enable it to be, therefore prolonging the healing time. I’d recommend using germolene or savlon to lubricate, and it’s also antiseptic.
As it’s not painful, you may have to just pull it out as hard as you can, if it wont budge. The most important thing is that you DO NOT leave it in there. The ear will heal round it, and then it will be completely stuck. That’s why, when stretching, you need to be able to twist the taper/stretcher/jewellery.
So, like I said, once you’ve got it out, clean the ear (salt bathe, or antiseptic spray) and downsize the taper to 1. 6mm. Leave that in for as long as it takes for the skin inside to be flesh coloured, not red of pink.
Then, have a hot shower, massage your ear, rub some germolene/savlon onto it, and begin inserting the 2mm taper.
Hope this helps, good luck.
You should go to a professional for this incase you get an infection.
