Crazy colour Question???

I have dyed my hair blonde & I would like to put a blue stripe down the middle (I have a small Mohawk)
What’s the best way of doing it without colouring all my hair?
I have bought crazy colour (Capri Blue)
My friend suggested putting wax or Vaseline on the hair I don’t want dyed blue. Will this work??

    Use foil to cover the hair you dont want colored

    You could use cotton swabs (long ones) hair store should have it. Put it from front of hair to nape of hair so that the colour does not transfer to the rest of the hair.
