  1. It won’t work, especially if it’s an old scars.
The new skin is there to stay and won’t fade more or less no matter what you do.
It would have helped when it was healing, by applying healing products but now it’s too late. New skin won’t appear magically to make it fade.

I know because I have a scars on my knee, from a bicycle accident when I was a kid. My parents never took care of it and now at 30 I am stuck with it.
I don’t really care about it anymore but when I was 17-18 I hated it.

I know there’s a product in pharmacy tho, I am not sure of the name but it can help. . it’s expensive tho.
It’s like a patch you put over night and it helps for the skin coloration. Maybe your friend can save money and get it?

  2. Happy Ending.

    BIO OIL!

This stuff works, its not that expensive at all and it works quite well.
It takes about a Month to get rid of the scar completly though and you apply it before you got o bed :)

  3. It does work, but only for new or fairly new scars. If you want to get rid of old scars on your face you can use clean and clear acne spot treatment. If it is anywhere else on the body you can buy the scar treatment from goldbond. You can get them both and CVS or Walgreens. I hope I helped =)Good luck. Its not that expensive so money shouldn’t be a problem.
