Are tounge piercings really that bad?

I’m almost 15 years old and an a responsible teenager but when I ask my mum she won’t give my a good reason. And will it ruin my teeth?

    Tongue piercings are largely done for. . . er. . . utilitarian purposes. I think your mom is worried about (if not the risk of infection that comes with a tongue piercing) what it might be used for. . . .

    In my opinion it’s trashy and unattractive, I’m not one for body piercings. You’ll thank your mom in a couple of years for not allowing you to get it.

    15 anni mi sembra un pò prestino. . tanto poi, quando si fanno i piercig a quell età si finisce sempre per pentirsene. . poi il piercing in se nn fa male per niente ma sai per quanto soffri dopo?ti viene un gran mal d gola, nn riesci a mangiare e quasi a parlare per un mese pensaci va!

    If you take care of it and clean it everyday , you’ll be fine. I got mine done and for the first few weeks my tOngue was swollen (i got double Piercing on my tongue). Now i only have 1 and im fine. They dnt mess ur teeth up it you get the acrylic barbell, if u have a metal one dont bit on it, i have the habbit of bitting my metal one and i formed a gap now. But other than that ur good (: Take good care of it and it’ll be fine (:

    Personally I find any piercIngs beyond the nose to be self mutalation it’s just rediclious looking to get a hole in your toung and most of society will think you are more of a queer than unique.

    Hi, I am sorry to have to tell you that tongue piercings are very bad for you and are something that with the passage of time the majority of people regret doing.     they arent bad. im 17 and i got my tongue done a year and a half ago.
    you wont have any health problems as long as you use mouthwash with no alcohol in it every time you eat or drink anything besides water until its done healing.
    its not great for your teeth, but if you dont bang it against your teeth a lot or bite it, its not horrible.
