I am getting my monroe piercing in a week and i am SO nervous. i have read that it doesn’t hurt that much but i would rather hear it from someone who has felt it from experience. i’m 14 and this is my first piercing (except my ears but i was only like 4 so i don’t really remember that) and what is the best way to keep it from infection? how long before i can take it out and get a shorter one? thanks for all the help

It doesn’t hurt but don’t freak out when it bleeds more than usual piercings. And your gonna have to ask the person who does it for you cause I forgot I got mine 2 years ago
It doesn’t hurt much but I would suggest cleaning it with alcohol so It doesn’t get infected so what not xD
When I got mine done it felt like getting my ears pierced. with a bigger needle. and in my face. on a scale it was probably about a 3. Its not the actual piercing that you should worry about, thats easy. Its the next few days thats uncomfortable. It swells, gets kinda red and crusty. yuck! just make sure your piercer puts in a longer bar so the jewelry doesnt go in the hole when it swells.
Oh, and don’t listen to the person that said to clean it with alcohol. how moronic. use salt water. also, dont use mouthwash with alcohol in it and dont use peroxide. your piercer will tell you the aftercare of it.
