How can you tell a body piercing salon is professional and clean?

I want to get my navel pierced but I want to be cautious and know that I’m getting it done by the right people.

    Simple, go to a tattoo/piercing shop and talk to the piercer about the type of metal they use, when they got their license to do piercings and look at a portfolio of their work.

    You can tell by making sure they wear gloves, all of your needles and jewlry should be coming straight out of new packaging and a professional will open it right in front of you. . They will then provide you with the accurate after care solutions and a paper explaining what you need to do, and they should also explain to you before you leave.
