How do I disnfect piercings?

How do I disinfect piercings? Nothing special like gauges, just regular piercings.
Note: I have no alcohol.
Oh! Do I just dip the piercing into the soapy water? Not real professional at this. xP

  1. Soap and water or sea salt soaks. Alcohol is too strong for piercings anyway. If you’re talking about just cleaning the jewelry before you put it in, soap works fine.

  2. I just use alcohol on a Q-tip to clean my ear and also the earring. Since you don’t have any I would say sea salt or the bottom of stuff they give you when they pierce your ears. .

  3. Saline (contact solution) works. You can also mix some sea salt with water and use that. Or you could also just use soapy water if you haven’t anything else. :)

  4. soap

  5. DO NOT USE ALCOHOL!

Use regular dial antibacterial soap to disinfect the area and use a cotton ball soaked in hot salt water to lessen any inflammation.

If it gets infected make some chamomile tea and put the hot tea bag on the infected spot. The heat will draw out the infection, and the herbs will help heal it.
