Ive had my lip pierced for almost a year and now it is starting to effect my job. My boss pulled me aside and said i had to take it out cause its unprofessional. Ok that it fine but how long will it take for it to look normal? Will there always be a mark or will it go away eventually?

i had mine in for a long time! i took it out maybe 7 months ago and it completely healed in a week or so. i have a scar but you can only see it up close. as long as it wasn’t infected really bad the mark wont be bad.
it depends on the individual. there will probably always be a scar, but that’s what you sign up for when you get a piercing.
