i got my ears pieced around 6 weeks ago, and next Tuesday i have to have an operation on my teeth and i have to take out my earings for some safe reason. and i was wondering if i take them out for about a couple of hours will they close up? please help, thanks

It can close but it also may not either. After I had mines for 6 weeks, I took them out because they were bothering me. I thought they were closed after a few hours but they were actually still open. So I guess it depends on how long it’s going to be out. Mine was out for about 2-3 hours. I don’t remember.
By then you should be fine to take them out, if you took them out too soon after getting them pierced they would grow over, but I got mine pierced a bit over a year ago and I sometimes leave them out for a day o two and they don’t grow over. I know friends that have left theirs out for weeks and they haven’t grown over, so a few hours should be fine. If you really are worried I am sure you could find some plastic earrings or tape over your earrings, you would have to check with your surgeon if this is okay though

you just dont want to go long periods of time for about a year so you dont risk them closing
Nope, they won’t close since you’ve had them done 6 weeks ago, they have most likely healed by now. Just put them straight back in after your done, just in case
