I would say they are horrible dont get them they ruin your body. Well that`s my opinion.

they come out really easily. your body rejects them after a certain amount of time, thus making them short lasting.

you can always take them out if you dont like them.
i have done that a million times
the pain isnt that bad. . if you get them done professionally.

and and you MUST clean and take care of it with alcohol or a piercing antiseptic/cleaner.
or it will get infected and leave a really bad scar.

  4. It depends on the type of piercing and where you want it.

I personally chose a slightly different approach with microdermals/surface implants. There is only one hole (a flat plate under the skin holds it in place), with very low rejection rate. I’ve had absolutely no problems with mine, as long as it is done properly. The only negative side to it is that it is a permanent modification, which you have to have professionally removed if you want it out, and the internal portion of it must be titanium. The outer portion screws in, meaning you can change the look of it as often as you want after it’s healed.

if you have them done in nose or face, they can hit nerves that can paralyze you in that spot. ears not a problem besides some bleeding and swelling. belly buttons can get really infected and some times can push the stud out, gold is better worn here and the others, you know where can rip if your not careful. tongue can swell and cause a slight lisp also the stud can rub enamel off your teeth and cause tooth decay . I also found that salt water washes were great to get rid of infections but i also made shure that i completely dried the area after.

You should know EVERYTHING that there is to know before you get one done.

    1) where on your body will you ave it?
    2) where’s the best place to go to get it?
    3) is that place sterile?
    4) are you being charged the right amount?
    5) how many have they done before?
    6) what’s the chance of that piercing migrating (coming out)?
    7) can it be covered if needs be? 8) how will affect my everyday life (doing what you normally do)?
    9) how long will it take to heal?
    10) when you need to do to aid healing?

I’m sure there’s lots more to consider but this was just off the top of my head.

You should never have a tattoo or piercing without considering the basics listed above.

    Good luck :)

You should know as much as you possibly can! You can find out a lot over the internet. Heres a few essential FAQ’s though, just to get you started.

    1. Surface piercings reject really very easily. One bump and they can start to migrate. They have a low survival rate. For this reason, most people are now turning to microdermals- piercings which are anchored under the skin.
    2. When you see the piercing start to migrate, and go all red, you should take it out- unless you want a really big scar.
    3. All surface piercings should be done using a surface bar. It kind of looks like a staple [ like that. Some people will use ordinary barbells or curved barbells but these are really bad for surface piercings as they put too much pressure on the piercing and cause it to reject quicker.
    4. When getting a surface piercing, you should choose a low movement area. For example, one on the wrist wont last long because the wrist is in constant use. If you want your piercing to stand the best chances, you should get it somewhere that isn’t being constantly moved.

So theres a couple of facts. You should find out all you can though. Also you should pick a skilled piercer and should know where you want them. Surface piercings are a lot of hasstle and have a very low survival rate. For that reason i would suggest you look into microdermals, which are permanant. GOod luck with whatever you choose!
