I was wondering after your piercing is fully healed do you have to change the piercing or can you leave the one you already had in there for as long as you want?

You don’t have to change it if you don’t want to. You can keep it in, but that takes away the fun in buying new jewelry. . . . change it up!
you can leave it in as long as you want. depending on the piercing, the longer you leave it in after its healed, the harder it is to take off. for ex. , my bellybutton ring was healed and i had to use pliers to unscrew it.
