I’ve had it for about 9 days and it is at the peeling stage. So far its lost a bit of colour in some spots and also I think I might ask the artist to go over one part thats yellow in purple ink as I feel it will look better. How long should I wait before doing this? They’re not massive touch ups.

You have to wait until it’s fully healed, about 3-4 weeks. Once it has stopped healing and the scabs have all fallen off on their own, go talk to your artist about getting your tattoo touched up. Good luck!
i think wait until your tattoo is completely healed as it wont hurt or irritate it like it would if it was still healing and you decide to go over it again

He’s not gonna like changing the color, but he’ll do it, if that’s what you really want. If you picked it because you didn’t like it being yellow, he may not want to touch it up. My boss won’t touch up tattoos that are screwed up from improper aftercare. But everybody is a little different. I’d do what you want, for the sake of my good name. Unless I thought that purple was out of the question. I’d probably much rather go over it in the original yellow. Tattoo inks are translucent, rather than opaque. It might come out a really muddled messed up shade. Remember, you’re trying to throw the three primary colors together. Yellow, red and blue (purple) which, when put together, make a brown. Better use a dark purple to try it. Give it fourteen more days. Take care.
