Will toning up my stomach affect my tattoo?

I’m wanting to get a Southern Cross (I know, how original lol) tattooed just above my hip. If I get this done now, and then start to tone up, will this affect the tattoo at all?
Thanks!

I think it depends how fast you tone up and how much you need to lose.
I have a tattoo that reaches from my ribs to my hip. Since then, I’ve lost about 25 lbs. There has been no change to my tattoo (no note-able change, at least).

    Best wishes.
