Damn dark circles under my eyes even when I am getting sleep!?

The title pretty much says it all- I have dark circles under my eyes even when I get 8 hours sleep. I use Bobbi Browns corrector which helps but not entirely. I have tried Erase Paste by Benefit but finds it makes them even more noticeable.

Have you got any tips/tricks or make up that is great for dark under eye circles

I smoke pot regularly and therefore have to ash a lot– being a girl that wears makeup, I also line my eyes a lot. Not heavily nor along the insides of my eyes; just in a somewhat Egyptian fashion along my top lid. Would it be safe to do this using the ash from my pipe?
