I’ve had a cartilage piercing for about 3 years, it healed fine and I never really had any problem with it. Now I want to let it close up. Should I just take out the ring and let it be, or do I need to do anything special for it? Clean it like it’s a new piercing?
I work in a shop, so I’ll have to be able to talk while working on checkout and assisting people on the shop floor.
Is there any way I can make sure I’m still able to talk correctly while a new tongue piercing is healing?

So what’s the suggestion? Should I just go ahead and get it done anyway? If a 3-week healing period is unavoidable, it’s going to be pointless booking any holiday time off for it, right?

I’ve had my earlobes pierced twice and my nose once – and now I’m considering getting my cartilage pierced. I know it depends on pain tolerance but I got through my nose piercing fine and the smaller amount of stinging I did feel was well worth it – so I wanted some opinions on just how much more getting my cartilage pierced would hurt in comparison to having had my nose done.
I have been thinking for months about getting a neck piercing but am worried about having long hair with it, the pain doesn’t bother me, it’s just if it gets tangled up i imagine it wouldn’t be very easy to untangle? I really want to get this piercing, despite the response i get from mentioning it to people, and this is the only thing really holding me back.
I had my lip pierced on Mon 1st Feb, it seems to have healed well, except I have a small lump (seemingly full of pus) just under the piercing. It’s not sore until I put pressure on it. It doesn’t weep when I push on it or attempt to get out via the piercing, just wondering if this is normal or some-thing I should get checked out.
I want to get a labret piercing, but once it has healed, I want to have the option of being able to remove it without it closing up. . . is this possible or would the hole be highly visible?
